Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data the Beatway service (the "Service," "we") — available at beatway.app and related apps — collects and processes, and how that data is used.

By registering for and using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you disagree, please do not use the Service.

Depending on how you use the Service, we collect:

• Account data — the email, name, and avatar Google provides us when you sign in via Google authorization.
• Release data — uploaded audio files, cover art, title, description, tags, genres, mood, BPM, and other information you provide when creating a release.
• Connected platform data — when you connect YouTube, SoundCloud, TikTok, Instagram, VK, Telegram, or BeatStars, we receive and store the access token needed to publish on your behalf, along with basic profile/channel info (name, ID, username).
• Referral data — your referral code and information about who referred you or whom you've referred.
• Public profile data (LinkTree) — if you enable this feature, the links and description you provide become visible to anyone who opens your public page.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, collected automatically for basic usage analytics.

For the feature that imports tracks from your Telegram channel, Beatway uses its own Telegram *user* account (not a bot) that you add to your channel. This is a technical limitation of Telegram — the Bot API cannot read a channel's message history, only a full user account can.

We use this access solely to find audio files in your channel's history and offer to import them as release drafts. We do not read other channels, and we do not store or use any other messages from your channel for any other purpose.

The data we collect is used to:

• publish your releases on the platforms you've chosen, on your behalf, according to your settings;
• automatically assemble video and visualizers for your releases;
• show you your releases, stats, and activity history within the Service;
• support the referral program;
• contact you about the Service and support;
• improve the Service itself, based on aggregated usage statistics.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data is shared only with the platforms you've connected yourself (Google/YouTube, TikTok, Meta/Instagram, VK, SoundCloud, Telegram, BeatStars), and only to the extent needed to publish your release.

Uploaded files (audio, artwork, video) are stored on Cloudflare R2. The Service itself runs on Vercel's infrastructure.

All data exchanged between you and the Service goes over HTTPS (TLS-encrypted in transit). Access tokens for connected platforms (Google/YouTube, TikTok, Meta/Instagram, VK, SoundCloud, Telegram, BeatStars) are stored encrypted in the database and are only accessible to the Service's backend — they're never sent to the browser or visible to staff directly.

Access to production infrastructure and the database is limited to a small group of people responsible for development and is protected by separate authentication. We only store the data and scopes from connected platforms that are needed for specific publishing features — a platform's token is deleted immediately when you disconnect that integration in settings.

Beatway's use and transfer of data received through Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: we use this data solely to provide and improve the YouTube publishing features you've explicitly requested, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with third parties except as expressly permitted by this policy.

Data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect any connected platform at any time in your settings — this immediately stops the use of the corresponding access token.

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email hello@beatway.app — we'll delete the data within a reasonable time, unless required otherwise by law (for example, tax record-keeping requirements).

The Service uses a technical session cookie (httpOnly) required to sign in, and cookie-independent analytics to measure site traffic. We don't use cookies to show you ads on third-party sites.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with their data, please let us know and we'll delete it.

We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. We'll do our best to separately announce any material changes.
